Fisher's Club is partnering with the Avon Youth Baseball program in support of their efforts this spring and summer to improve the local baseball fields. 20% of food and beverage purchased(dine in or takeout) on Thursday, March 30th will be donated back to this organization.
For more information on their fundraising efforts, see below.
Avon Youth Baseball takes pride in maintaining the long-standing tradition of youth baseball in our community, along with giving our players quality fields and equipment to compete. As we look towards this year’s season, we are expecting participation numbers to continue to grow and add more teams at all levels to include Peewee (3rd/4th grade) and Junior Varsity (5th/6th grade). These players participate in the I94 Summer Baseball League,
which includes other surrounding towns of Albany, Melrose, Sauk Centre, and Osakis. We also expect continued growth in our Kindergarten and 1st/2nd grade levels.
To make significant improvements, Avon Youth Baseball has partnered with Al Newman former MN Twins infielder (1987-1991), the MN Twins Community Fund - Field for Kids Ball Field Renovation Grant and the Kirby Puckett Foundation. These programs provide financial support to improve baseball field renovations including upgrades of essential field components, such as new sod, infield work, fencing and equipment sheds. The MN Twins will match community donations up to $15,000! All funds will go towards extensive improvements to our Stratford Neighborhood fields.
